gun slingin'

This post is dedicated to my mother.

We headed to the hills on Tuesday with Tyson and Abbey to practice clay pigeon shooting. Abbey and I need the practice in order to beat our husbands at the Young Life ShootOut in late August. While our husbands are great at shooting, Abbey and I have little experience and need all the help we can get.

Tyson is a natural.
The girls used a lighter 20 gauge gun that dusty got when he was 12. It has less of a kick and easier to hold.

Abbey's so hard.
Dusty hit quite a few pigeons (clay).

This is Dusty in a very contemplative mood.
Is this a Charlie's angel?

Thank you for the post dedication. I can't tell you how excited I am about my yet-to-be-born grandson being introduced to guns. It does look like you had fun!

You left out the part that you hit like 4 clay pigeons in a row...and I hit 0. I'll get better before we compete, I promise!
